Double or Nothing Poker Strategy
First thoughts is what is a souble or nothing poker sit and go? A double or nothing sitngo also known as double up sitngos are 10 player sitngos with the top five players receiving double their buyin. For example, if you bought into an $10 double or nothing sitngo. The top five players will receive $20 and the bottom five players that got knocked out receive nothing. If you follow the basic sit and go bankroll management rules then you will have no problem applying them to the double or nothing sit and gos.
Early Stage Strategy
In the early stage of an double or nothing sitngo you should be playing very tight. Some players will be playing an all in or fold strategy. You don't want to be in a hand against one of them as its not worth it. Even if you double up at the beginning of the sit and go you still can lose. Early stage its all about saving your chips. If you do not have a premium hand in position than do not play your hand!

Mid Stage Strategy
In this stage of the sitngo at least 2 or 3 players are out by now. This is where things become a bit more readable. You know who is willing to push allin while others are just trying to maintain their chip stacks. You want to stay playing very tight but you want to be very aggressive to steal blinds. Whenever you have a premium hand in position raise 3 or 4 times the big blind. If someone raised already do a minimum re-raise. The average chip stacks are unlikely to call a re-raise let alone a raise.
Important: This is very risky because if you lose a hand it could mean the end of you in the sit and go. So make sure you play premium hands in position!
Late Stage Strategy
Now its only 6 players left in the sitngo. Nothing wants to be the bubble. If you followed the strategy, you haven't played many hands and the ones you did play you won. So your chip stack should be average or a little above average. Keep your playing style tight aggressive. You want to let everyone else battle with each other to knock someone out.
Heads Up Poker
Poker players that like double or nothing sitngos also like to play heads up poker.
However, find the smallest chip stack at the table. Whenever you have a premium hand while that short stack is on the big blind raise for the steal. Also, if the short stack is on the small blind but make sure the player to the short stacks left isn't a player with a big chip stack. If the chip stack is average go for the steal but if the chip stack is big leave it alone. Don't want to risk losing to many chips so late in the sitngo.
